Atlantic Canada may be hit with windy, wet and unseasonably warm weather over the holiday weekend.
Environment Canada has issued rainfall warnings for up to 50 millimetres of rain from Yarmouth to Hants Country in Nova Scotia. The precipitation may turn to snow late Saturday evening as the temperature drops.

Much of the province will be experiencing winds up to 80 km/h though they may reach up to 120 km/h in parts of Cape Breton this evening.
In New Brunswick, the weather agency reported wet and windy conditions in the south and central parts of the province with heavy rain and high winds expected this evening.
Special weather statements have been issued for Prince Edward Island as well, calling for windy conditions across the province moving into Saturday evening.
The agency warns that record high temperatures forecast for Friday and Saturday in central Newfoundland may cause snowmelt and possible flooding.
