Police are investigating a suspicious package in the Halifax Public Gardens on Monday.
Details are scarce but the municipality has closed down the gardens to the public as Halifax Regional Police (HRP) deal with the incident.
In a tweet from their official Twitter account, the municipality announced that the gardens were temporarily closed.
The Halifax Public Gardens are temporarily closed, and an update will be issued once they have reopened. Your patience is appreciated.

HRP issued a brief statement less than an hour later saying they were investigating a suspicious package.
Police are asking the public to remain away from the area.
