Vidéotron says ‘technical problems’ behind internet outages in Quebec

Vidéotron is undergoing widespread outages of its internet services early Friday afternoon in some parts of Quebec.

The telecommunications company took to social media to issue an apology about what it described as “technical problems” with some of its services.

“Our teams are working on rectifying the situation as quickly as possible,” the message states. “We will keep you posted on any new developments.”

Vidéotron did not specify how many customers are affected by the ongoing issue nor did it say when the situation is expected to be resolved.
